This CNC engraving bit is a carbide V bit with a small flat tip for lettering, logos, inlays and fine relief detail. Choose the shank, included angle and tip width that fit your machine and design.
Narrow angles (10-20 degrees) cut fine, deep lines and small text; 30-60 degrees suit most V-carved signs; 90 degrees cuts wide V-grooves and chamfers.

Choosing a size
Options read shank - angle x tip width. Desktop CNC machines usually take 1/8 in shanks; larger routers often use 1/4 in or 6mm collets. Smaller tips give finer detail; wider tips are stronger and last longer.
Best for
Sign makers, engraving shops and CNC hobbyists cutting lettering, plaques and nameplates.
FAQ
Which angle should I choose for V-carving signs?
30 or 60 degrees covers most sign work. Use 10-20 degrees for very small text and 90 degrees for wide grooves.
What does the tip width mean?
It is the width of the flat at the point. It sets the narrowest line the bit can cut.
Will the 6mm shank fit a 1/4 in collet?
No. 6mm and 1/4 in (6.35mm) are different sizes; match the shank to your collet.
