This annular cutter is a high-speed steel (HSS) magnetic drill bit for cutting clean, round holes in steel plate. It cuts only the outer ring of the hole and leaves a solid slug, so it needs less power and makes less heat than a twist drill of the same diameter.

Run it in a magnetic drill (mag drill) or a drill press for holes in structural steel, flat bar, angle iron, stainless steel and cast iron.
